Women’s Health

When it comes to our bodies men and women are not the same.  So the question is, Do women need more attention than men when it comes to oral health?  Our answer at Moos Family Dental is, Yes, at specific times throughout your life.  Women in general will have periods in their lives where changes in hormones will influence their oral health condition.  Events such as the onset of puberty, menstruation, pregnancy and post-menopause.  Each of these periods in a woman’s life brings on a change in hormone levels which can greatly influence oral health, gum tissues especially.  In addition to great oral hygiene, a woman should make sure she has the recommended amount of vitamins A, B-12, C and calcium.
